THE UNDERSIGNED, being duly sworn, deposes and says, upon information and belief, that the said defendant, GWEN ELAINE STOCKEBRAND, did, in the County of Sonoma, State of California, on or about the 1st day of June, 2011 through the 8th day of September, 28th day of August, 2011, violate Section 597(b) of the PENAL CODE, a felony, in that she did unlawfully torture and/or torment and/or deprives of necessary sustenance and/or drink while having the charge or custody of any animal (equine, Thoroughbred, Mare, "Valerie"), either as owner or otherwise, subjects any animal to needless suffering, or inflicts unnecessary cruelty upon the animal, or in any manner abuses any animal, or fails to provide the animal with proper food or drink.
 
Charged 
 
1 count Felony Misdemeanor Cruelty to Animals
 
Trial re-scheduled for November 30, 2012 
 
 
Conditions are:
 
- Relinquish ownership of the mare Valerie
- 80 hours of community service
