A former Georgia dressage trainer, turned felon, was back in court on May 30. Kenn Acebal pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine.
Acebal was stopped by Forsyth County authorities last summer for allegedly driving naked while performing a "sex act" on himself. A pipe with methamphetamine residue was found in his vehicle according to the police report. Two additional charges, possession and use of drug related objects, and public indecency were dropped as part of his plea agreement.
He was sentenced to two years behind bars in the case, which will run concurrently with his current prison sentence. Acebal was busted in an online child sex sting last year. He is serving seven years locked up after pleading guilty to three counts of computer pornography.
"The charges don't mean Acebal was looking at pornography on his computer," says District Attorney Jennifer Hartline, who prosecuted the online child sex sting case. "He used the computer to entice a child for sexual purposes."
Once released, Acebal will serve 13 years probation, and is required to register as a sex offender.
